Description

The single slatted base is 92 cm wide, 188 cm long and 28 cm high, sized for a standard South African single mattress. Under the upholstery is a metal frame carrying pliable wooden slats. The slats flex under load and hold the mattress evenly rather than letting it dip between supports, and the frame is rated to 500 kg.

The outside is wrapped in dark synthetic leather, which wipes clean with a damp cloth. It suits a child’s room, a teenager or a guest room, and it takes any standard single mattress, not only ours.

The base ships flat in two boxes, 105 cm x 39 cm x 7 cm and 195 cm x 20 cm x 18 cm, 17 kg for the pair. One person can carry both in, and assembly takes a few minutes.
