The Plush Single is a 27 cm thick pocket spring and foam hybrid mattress in the standard South African single size, 92 cm wide by 188 cm long. Inside it are 420 individually wrapped pocket springs. Because each spring compresses on its own, the mattress can hold your shoulders and hips at different depths instead of pushing back as one solid surface.

Two foam layers sit above the spring unit: support foam for an even layer over the springs, then massage foam that gives the surface its plush feel. Soft quilting and a knitted fabric cover go over the top. The mattress is rated for one sleeper up to 120 kg, which makes it a practical choice for a child’s room, a teenager, a guest bedroom or a flat where space is tight.

It arrives vacuum compressed and rolled in a box of 95 cm x 30 cm x 30 cm, weighing 21.3 kg. That fits in a car boot and goes up a staircase without a second pair of hands. Slide it out, unroll it onto a slatted base, a bed frame or your existing base, remove the packaging and let it expand.
